{"id":9,"date":"2011-06-06T07:10:20","date_gmt":"2011-06-06T07:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.divorceexperiment.com\/?p=9"},"modified":"2011-06-06T23:13:30","modified_gmt":"2011-06-06T23:13:30","slug":"drunken-husband-or-cover-your-a-in-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.divorceexperiment.com\/?p=9","title":{"rendered":"Drunken husband, or cover your a** in court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, once again the hubby is drunk.\u00a0 It has been a downward spiral for the last year and a half.\u00a0 He has always been a drinker, but not a drunk until then.\u00a0 Now he is out of control.\u00a0 He&#8217;s not a mean drunk, hes actually kinda funny.\u00a0 But its gotten really old and dangerous.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t trust him with our kids.\u00a0 He is toasted all the time.\u00a0 I&#8217;m actually surprised hes held down his job.\u00a0 I guess he is what is called a functioning drunk. He works, but then comes home and gets drunk.\u00a0 It use to be a drink or two to take the edge off, now its alot.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t even know how much because he hides it from me.\u00a0 He denies he is even drinking and is too drunk and stupid to know that we all know how drunk he is.\u00a0 Then when he wakes up in the morning he is a total jerk to me and the kids.\u00a0 In addtition he has started to get reckless.\u00a0 He has driven the kids in the car twice now when hes been drinking.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t allow him to get visitation when he is in this state.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want the kids to lose their father, but he is not a father at this point.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve asked him to get help, but he won&#8217;t.\u00a0 He won&#8217;t even admit he has a problem.\u00a0 I am suppose to leave tomorrow.
